Their Royal Highnesses, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, paid VIA University College and ECOmove a visit during their official stay in Denmark. The British royal couple was introduced to new developments in green energy technology such as ECOmove’s innovative e-car QBEAK.

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla both climbed into the QBEAK car when they arrived at Vitus Bering Innovation Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Mogens Løkke, CEO of ECOmove, introduced the e-car and its many features, while the royal couple listened attentively. Prince Charles promised to follow ECOmove in the future and said that he finds the QBEAK-concept very interesting.

”This is indeed a fantastic opportunity for us to spread the message about ECOmove and our e-car QBEAK to a wider audience”, says Mogens Løkke, who calls the royal visit a bit of a scoop.

”We are proud to be involved in this world-class event, and we enjoy the attention that goes hand-in-hand with a royal visit. We also have great expectations for reaching a lot of people who have never heard of us before”, Mogens Løkke says.

Prince Charles has been very interested in environmental issues for many years, and while in Denmark, he and Duchess Camilla also visited a low-carbon power plant and sustainable and organic farms.

The royal guests had specifically wished to visit VIA University College Campus Horsens in order to hear about the research and development of eco-friendly solutions which can contribute to a reduction of CO2 emissions.
